57% of Canadians claim to keep their partners happy in the bedroom.1

28% of men crave impulsive sexual encounters in different locations, compared with 14% of women.1

Not tonight, dear

58% of respondents ages 40 to 64 say they are too tired for sex.2

I’d rather be exfoliating

29% of female Canadian baby boomers would prefer pampering themselves
at a spa, while 21% would prefer a night of passion with their partners.2

The young and the reckless

27% of Canadians ages 14 to 17 are sexually active, with an average of three partners since they first had sex.3

Sweet little 15

33% of sexually active adolescents first have sexual relations at age 15, and 31% first have oral sex at 15.3

Unsafe sex

42% of Canadians have had unprotected relations without knowing their partners’ sexual history.4

Tuesdays and Saturdays

108 couplings a year is the average for Canadians, which translates to once every 3.4 days. The French have sex the most often (137 times a year), while the Japanese see the least annual action (46 times).4

The big O, eh?

36% of Canadians say they reach climax every time they have sexual relations, versus 61% of Italians (most) and 19% of Chinese (least).4

Almost a 10

9.8 is the number of sexual partners the average Canadian has in his or her lifetime. The Chinese have the most lovers (19.3), while their neighbours the Vietnamese have the least (2.5).4

The adult playpen

58% of Canadians admit to watching erotic material with their partners and 43% have spiced things up with a toy.4

Mindset is everything

17% of Canadians chose attitude when asked to name a person’s sexiest feature from a list. Next came eyes (16%), face (11%) and breast/chest or toned body (10%, versus 32% of respondents in India). Only 5% chose intelligence, and none selected wealth, hair colour, height or age.4
